International Teaching Assistant Orientation

Every year the Teaching Assistant Project of the Graduate School-New Brunswick holds an orientation for newly appointed Rutgers International Teaching Assistants. The 21st annual International Teaching Assistant Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. The orientation consists of a morning workshop that introduces participants to the cultural issues involved in teaching at an American university, and an afternoon TA panel discussion in which experienced International TAs discuss their experiences in the classroom and suggest some strategies that have been successful for them. Newly appointed International Teaching Assistants are required to attend both this orientation and the general Teaching Assistant orientation.
