The TA Project is pleased to offer a series of workshops designed to provide graduate students with the opportunity to practice their teaching skills and to receive feedback from their peers in a non-threatening environment. Each participant will present a short micro-lesson to the group that will serve as a sample of his or her teaching practices. The sessions will be videotaped, and the group will review the videos and discuss the presentations. In addition to identifying their own strengths and weaknesses, participants will gain valuable practice in giving constructive feedback and will have the chance to learn by observing their peers.
The program requires that students participate in 3 ninety-minute workshops:
- An introductory workshop
- The presentation session
- The video review session
Participants who attend all 3 sessions will earn a certificate.
